Dream Theater has once again shown their presence as the kings of progressive metal, winning the “Best Metal Performance” award at the 64th Grammy Awards and headlining Download Japan 2022 in August. Dream Theater has been regularly releasing their treasured live, demo, and studio outtakes as official bootlegs in the “Lost Not Forgotten Archives” series. The thirteenth in the series is a 2-CD demo of “Images and Words”, the early career masterpiece and progressive metal masterpiece that catapulted the band to international fame. It includes instrumentals, demos from when the band moved to the ATCO label, pre-production material, and audition material for vocalists other than James Labrie, as well as many other rare recordings. Previously released on his own Ytsejam Records label in limited production, this long-awaited reissue features the latest mastering and new artwork. The Japanese edition is a high-quality Blu-spec CD2 version.
