Joe Hisaishi’s first album from Gramophone, which has announced a contract with Deutsche Grammophon, a prestigious classical music company, is a new arrangement of his own compositions that were provided for director Hayao Miyazaki’s works.
Recorded in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, this work has a universal sound that can be applied to any genre of classical / J-pop animation.
It is the crystallization of the collaboration between Joe Hisaishi and Studio Ghibli films, which have a special presence in the animation film world and continue to be loved.
